Roster: 16 days on / 12 days off, dayshift only

About the Role

MasterSystem Technologies (PNG) Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse / Store Person to lead the management of consignment stock at a large-scale mining operation in the Morobe / Eastern Highlands region. This role oversees forecasting, ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and reconciliation of key mining consumables including ground support, rock tools, ventilation, and HDPE/poly products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead warehouse operations for consignment stock, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely availability.
  • Manage forecasting, min/max levels, and demand planning in alignment with mine development and production schedules.
  • Supervise receiving, inspection, and quality checks (heat numbers, batch tracking, MSDS compliance).
  • Control safe storage, racking, FIFO/FEFO practices, and housekeeping.
  • Oversee picking, staging, and distribution of consumables to work orders.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and quarterly reconciliations against consignment agreements.
  • Provide reporting dashboards and month-end reconciliations for finance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with PNG labour and OHS laws and site standards.
  • Lead and mentor Warehouse/Yard Hands to maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–8+ years’ experience in mining or heavy industry warehousing.
  • Proven background in consignment inventory management and ERP systems (Pronto Xi or similar preferred).
  • Knowledge of mining consumable product categories (ground support, rock tools, ventilation, poly/HDPE).
  • Supervisory experience with demonstrated safety leadership.
  • Forklift licence essential; understanding of racking and safe lifting practices.
  • Strong data and reporting skills (Excel, ERP).
  • Preferred: A tertiary qualification in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related discipline.
